This 13-part children’s drama series brings to life some of the best known and best loved Biblical stories.
HTV and EO-The Netherlands, have co-produced the series filmed entirely in South Wales. With stories based on Biblical characters, the series is aimed at family viewing.
JACOB’S LADDER follows the adventures of six modern-day children as they take a journey into a ‘biblical storyland’ with the help of Rafael an eccentric storyteller, the Lighthouse Keeper.
Through adventure and conflict, the stories involve the entire range of human emotions and carry the eternal themes of love, death, hate, jealousy and fulfilment.

The series covers the stories of Old Testament characters, Gideon, Ruth and Naomi, Samuel, Saul, Jonathan and young David. The six children find themselves in the story-world, taking turns to play different characters while the others work at making sure that the story goes how they want it to - until they discover that the story has a momentum of its own.
